Short answers to the common questions.
How is the final grade worked out?
Each component (like Quizzes or Final Exam) gets a percentage from the student's scores. Those percentages are combined using the weights you set — a 30% component counts three times as much as a 10% one. That gives the class average, and the grade table turns that average into the final grade.
How do I enter scores?
Open a class, then tap a student's row (or the 'Enter scores' button). A panel opens with every item. Type the raw score — the number they got, not a percentage — and it saves as you type.
What does 'Excuse' do?
It removes that one item from the student's average, as if it was never assigned to them. Use it for excused absences. It's different from a zero.
Why does it say my weights don't add up to 100%?
The components need to total 100% for the grade to make sense. Open 'Grading setup' and adjust the 'worth %' next to each component until the badge turns green.
Can I add my whole class at once?
Yes. In a class, click 'Paste a class list' under the table, paste your roster with one name per line, and click 'Add all'.
Where is my data stored? Can I lose it?
It's saved in this web browser, on this computer only. Clearing your browser data or using another computer means you won't see it. Use the Backup page to download a file after each grading session and keep it somewhere safe.
Can other teachers or my students see this?
No. Nothing you enter leaves your computer. There are no accounts and no sharing yet.
How do I give this to the registrar?
Open the class and click 'Download grades'. That gives you a spreadsheet (CSV) with every student's component percentages, average, final grade and pass/fail — openable in Excel or Google Sheets.
